We would like to welcome Sterling Health Solutions to Nicholas County Schools. They will be running a school-based health center from our elementary school and will provide services to all students and staff on campus.

New traffic pattern on campus

There will be a new traffic pattern on campus for the start of school.  Please look at the attached diagram to get an idea of how to get where you need to go.

 

Open House / Readifest August 7th 5pm-7pm

Open house for both buildings will be on August 7th from 5pm to 7pm.  Readifest has been moved to the high school gym due to construction.

21st CENTURY AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Through a grant procured by Nicholas County Schools, the 21st Century After School Program has been reinstated. 21st Century gives students, grades K-6 a safe place to stay after school.  Certified teachers are employed to assist in homework and bus transportation is provided to specific drop-off points.  21st Century is held Monday through Thursday and is a free service.  Hours are 3:15-6:00 pm.  Mr. Jim Hughes is coordinator and an application is required to enroll in the program.  Please call Mr. Hughes at 289-3785, ext 209 if you have questions regarding the 21st Century program.
